Facts about Simon Smith

 

Born March 1965.

Went to Wilson's Grammar School (John Galiano and Michael Cane were also pupils there)

Was a Banardos Boy (though saw his mother most weekends and holidays) until he came to live with her on a council estate in Wallington Surrey from age 7 to 12 at which point he moved off of the estate.

Did Fine Art Painting at Chelsea School of Art where he got a BA Hons.

He is also a qualified teacher.

He started performing in 1989 and gigged around London for a few years, performing at amongst other venues: Blackheath Concert Halls, The Union Chappel, The Orange, The Victoria Gardens, The Bottom Line, Milton Keynes Bowl, The Half Moon, The Leicester Comedy and Music Festival, and many other pubs and clubs.

Has written and recorded around 300 songs and currently writes most of his songs with Steve Dumelo.

Lived in Fulham from 1985 to 2006 and now lives in Eastbourne where he continues to write and record.

Currently has over 85,000 followers via Facebook, Myspace, Reverbnation and Twitter.
